We are a fellowship and advocacy organization, in Springboro, OH, dedicated to creating a safe community of empowered and unafraid BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) children and adults, who belong equally, with rights and privileges afforded to all, regardless of race, disability, economic status, gender identity, sexual orientation, or faith.
![]() You are cordially invited to PEACOC's Inaugural Black History Month Contest Award Ceremony. Over fifty students residing in the Springboro school district submitted entries to our contest. Of those, 16 students in 5 different grade categories won a prize. But, of course, all the entrants in this year's contest are winners because they chose to challenge themselves and grow by learning about important figures and events in Black history. This year, the award ceremony will be held via Zoom, on Friday, February 26, at 7pm. During the ceremony, attendees will hear a message from PEACOC's board president, listen to music by Black composers performed by Springboro students, and of course listen to the contest winners recite their own Black History Month essays. Thank you to everyone who entered an essay to the contest and to all who made this year's contest a success! You can attend the ceremony via Zoom on computer/laptop, smart phone or other digitial device, or by phone. Would I be able to see a recording of this event? As I have a conflict at 7 pm, and yet I would like to watch this event later if that is possible. Thanks!
